The army is rising...

Hey! Parents! Woo!

It's Justin, the one with red hair. I just wanted to give you guys an update on what's been happening here in NYC since you have not been adequately informed about the awesomeness up to this point.

We have been going to a place called the World Plaza every day and meeting teenagers and sharing the gospel with them. God has been moving in force and we have had the amazing privilege of seeing seen 23 people chose to give their lives to Christ so far! Everyone here is so hungry for truth, there are even some I have talked to that have never heard that Jesus died for them before! They quickly accept God because it is the best news they have heard all their life! As some of you know, our goal is to start a youth group here, and so far it is coming far quicker than any of us expected. We are still concentrating on talking to new people, but now we are also focusing on introducing the kids to God, because that it where we want their foundation to be. Yesterday I talked to three guys about building a relationship with God, and they were happier then ever! I had to tell one guy, John, to stop hitting me because he was so excited to go home that night with his bible and talk to God. He told me that if I wasn't there tomorrow he would look through the whole city to find me and tell me what God said! =D

Please be praying whenever you think about it that this would be fruit that remains here in New York, and that it would just be the start of a powerful and unified youth group that will begin to change the youth of the city from a generation of darkness and corruption to a generation that stands for truth.

You guys rock! Your prayers are keeping us safe and making our words sharp and powerful to pierce the calloused hearts of the youth of this city, don't underestimate what happens when you intercede back there, and don't think we do either : )

Thanks so much for all your support! More updates to come soon!

WE ARE HERE!

Our team at our meeting space. Right now!
Hi all who read this! Lindsay here... We are here safely! The travel went very smooth, the students did great. We're all proud of each and every student...they have been so respectful and have kept such great attitudes.

Sunday we went to church and heard a great sermon from Pastor Jim Lafoon. Everyone really enjoyed that. Yesterday we let everyone sleep in a little and we had a little orientation. Afterwards, we tried to go to the Central Park Zoo for Whitney's 18th birthday, but it closed. Instead we spent a little time at the famous toy store, FAO Swartz. Afterwards, we had dinner and met with people from MSNY who are going to be volunteering with our outreach. They're really excited we are here and excited to help.

Today is the first day of ministry. The students are in the room next to me talking about what the day holds. Soon, we'll go out to where the area high schoolers gather for lunch and invite them to an outreach meeting we're having tonight with Chris Berg. Please pray for us!

We're walking lots, praying lots, believing for lots. Please extend your faith for us. We love you and we appreciate and need your support!
